Home to the Kings of Spain from Charles III to Alfonso XIII, Madrid’s Royal Palace takes us on a journey through the history of Spain. Though it is no longer the royal family’s home, it continues to be their official residence
The Royal Palace is one of the must-see attractions in Madrid. During the tour inside the palace we will enjoy the highlights including the magnificent Plaza de Armas, a courtyard from which side there is an unexpected and stunning view across the countryside. The palace comprises over 3000 rooms, (don’t worry, we are not going to visit all of them) but we won’t miss for instance the stunning Main Staircase,; the Throne Hall, the Porcelain Room and private King chambers. Definitely its lavish decoration and luxurious furniture takes us back to another times of great royal power.
