Just arrived at Rome´s airport … What now?

Transport from Rome Fiumicino Airport to the City Center:

I recommend you to talk about the price before they start the taxi to avoid misunderstandings or give them the chance for a free city sightseeing. At the airport there are some cars that are offer as taxis but they are not. Official taxis are caught in the stop-enabled and you´llcrecognize them perfectly.


Official prices:

From Fiumicino Aeroporto to Stazione Ostiense € 45

From Fiumicino Aeroporto to Mura Aureliane € 48, which means that everything Hotel located in the historic city center, exhibition inside the wall (where most of the hotels , Termini area included).

At the Airport you can find them in front of the Terminal 2 in the arrivals area (Partenze). Just follow the signs “Regional Bus Station”.

In Rome you can find the stop in Piazza dei Cinquecento (in front of the Museo Nazionale Romano) near the famous Termini Station. Also you will find it at Station Roma Tiburtina, at Cornelia Station Metro Line A and the Eur-Magliana station on Line B.

We recommend you to buy tickets at tobacconists and kiosks authorized otherwise they´ll charge more, because if you acquire on the bus itself it has a supplement

The bus takes about an hour to reach

We recommend you to consider the heavy traffic in the capital to avoid  missing the plane.



At the Airport you can find them at Arrivals Terminal 3 on the marquee of Bus # 1. To find it just follow the signs “Bus Station”.

In Rome you can find the stop at Termini Station on Via Marsala. In front of the Royal Santina Hotel. If you are in the Vatican City, Via Crescenzio n. 2 Tickets can be purchased online or directly on board the bus.

Takes an hour to arrive and the bus frequency is about 30 min.

In Rome you can find the stops in Ostiense Station, Piazzale 12 ottobre 1492 in front of Eataly and Termini Station, Via Giovanni Giolitti No. 10.

Tickets can be purchased directly on the bus. Have a frequency of 30 min.

You have 2 options:

The Leonardo Express, (14 €) is a non-stop service that will take you directly to Termini Station in just 30 min. Frequency is 30 min. Only tourist takes this train.

Regional trains (8 €) to Roma Trastevere Station or Ostiense Station. You have to take the train to Fara Sabina or Ostiense. From Trastevere Station you have many options: the tram 8 to Piazza Venezia or bus H until Termini, for example. Note that these trains used to suffer delays and cancellations.
